Ludovico Colombo / "Ghost Cuddle"

Ludovico Colombo / "Ghost Cuddle" (b. 1998, Bergamo, Italy) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts G. Carrara and holds a master’s degree in Visual Arts from IUAV, Venice. His artistic practice delves into the intricate interplay between opposing forces, particularly those that emerge from conflict. Colombo's works, often sculptural forms imbued with a sense of autonomy, engage in silent dialogues, revealing the emotional and internal landscapes of confrontation and connection. In his durational performance, "Ghost Cuddle," he embodies a sniper, prone and camouflaged, clutching a replica rifle. A nearby radio transmits a voice, not of directives or commands, but of intimate confession, addressed to the unseen, hypothetical target. This poetic dedication, suspended between hunter and hunted, speaks to their unspoken bond, a stalemate of observation, predation, and a relationship forged in the crucible of violence.
