Aliaksandra Tratsiakova / "Invisible"
Aliaksandra Tratsiakova (b. 1996, Minsk, Belarus) is a graduate of Belarusian State University with a degree in Design. Her artistic voice finds expression primarily through painting and sculpture, mediums through which she explores the contrasting realms of imagined solitude and human connection. Having emigrated from her homeland, Tratsiakova's work reflects a poignant longing for companionship and empathy. She perceives emigration as a time when a person strives to regain their self-worth and to cultivate a belief that they can be a part of their new country’s life. These emotions, often elusive in the realm of language, find form in her sculptures. Her series "Invisible," offers a glimpse into her personal journey, feeling unattached and invisible, her emotions conveyed with a quiet delicacy. Rather than grand gestures, Tratsiakova favors subtle narratives, inviting viewers to engage in a process of interpretation and discovery. By placing small sculptures within expansive spaces, she evokes a sense of disorientation and loneliness, mirroring the emotional landscape of displacement and the universal search for connection.
