ALL TOMORROW’S SONGS
Interdisciplinary Group Exhibition
Kühlhaus Berlin, November 8, 2024
6:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Free entry
All Tomorrow’s Songs is an interdisciplinary group exhibition featuring individual projects developed by 16 young artists who participated in the international workshop "Making It." This final exhibition and public moment represent a collective, cross-disciplinary effort, where artists of different backgrounds collaborated side-by-side to create unified, thematic works that blend different art forms into a cohesive, relevant, and multifaceted experience.
The showcased projects demonstrate the artists' remarkable growth, both individually and as a group, as they developed their works throughout the workshop. The process cultivated their capacity to listen, observe, and conceptually intertwine and connect with each other and their surroundings. The public presentation maintains the multimedia nature of the process and unfolds through alternating performative events that spread out across the different levels of the space.
Each project offers a distinct response to the current socio-political climate, serving as a call for unity rather than isolation. Questions of positioning, self-expression, and voice emerge, along with the responsibility to be a vehicle for others. These young voices provide poignant, poetic insights into the concept of "nowness," recognizing it as their sole reality. Despite facing significant challenges and limitations, younger generations strive to offer "songs" of hope and constructive solutions, transcending mere criticism to envision a better future.

Making It 2024: A Transnational Dialogue Culminating in Berlin
Making It 2024, an ambitious project traversing geographical and artistic boundaries, is reaching its crescendo. This international artistic workshop, orchestrated by the esteemed Slovenian contemporary artist JAŠA (Jaša Mrevlje-Pollak), has embarked on a journey to foster a transnational dialogue amongst emerging artists, culminating in a powerful showcase in Berlin.
A Synthesis of Creative Energies
This edition of Making It transcends the conventional workshop paradigm, transforming into a vibrant hub for artistic discourse and innovation. Supported by a network of cultural institutions – the Venice Academy of Fine Arts (Italy), WE.ARE Institute (SI-Ger), Kühlhaus Berlin (Germany), KUD Ljud (Slovenia) and PiNA (Slovenia) – the project has fostered a fertile ground for creative exploration.
From its inception at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, coinciding with the Venice Biennale, Making It 2024 has emphasized the symbiotic relationship between individual expression and collective engagement. The intensive training sessions in Koper provided a crucible for artistic refinement, where participants engaged in a process of reciprocal learning and collaborative exploration. Subsequent online sessions facilitated a sustained dialogue, allowing for the gestation and maturation of individual projects.
Berlin: The Convergence of Artistic Visions
Now, the culmination of this creative odyssey awaits in Berlin, a city renowned for its vibrant artistic landscape and its openness to diverse cultural expressions. The Kühlhaus Berlin, a sprawling industrial space transformed into a contemporary art venue, will serve as the stage for the final act of Making It 2024. Here, the participants will unveil their works, offering a poignant reflection on the complexities of our contemporary world.

Beyond the Exhibition: A Legacy of Creative Empowerment
The Berlin finale transcends a mere exhibition; it represents the culmination of a journey marked by intellectual curiosity, artistic experimentation, and cross-cultural dialogue. Making It 2024 has not only provided these emerging artists with a platform to showcase their talents but has also fostered a sense of community and shared purpose. As they prepare to share their works with the world, they embody the transformative potential of art to bridge cultural divides and ignite meaningful conversations.
